Above the band we installed a panoramic screen tilted 30 degrees. The angle pushes the image toward the audience and brings the horizon close to the performers. We dedicated the canvas mostly to live camera feeds with a cinematic treatment, so skin, sweat, and gesture become content. Custom masks soften the borders and let the image blend into the scenic volume.

Camera direction was led by Giulia Sirianni, who handled live direction and playout. Reef Studios developed the video content and integrated treatments so every frame felt authored and necessary.

The stage grows in three broad tiers that give the band clear lines and physical depth. A dense perimeter of versatile spot fixtures can switch from tight blades to wide beams in an instant. Inside the risers we embedded strobes so the set pulses with every drum hit. Programming follows the band’s wide dynamic range, moving from restraint and silhouette to sudden high impact frames. Light and screen are partners, one pushing and the other yielding as the music demands.

On site, Nicolò Maffeis served as lighting designer, lighting director, and programmer. He orchestrated the show file and the dialogue between light and video. Lorenzo Sarti supported programming during rehearsals. Marco Di Febo operated the Zactrack system for intelligent followspots.

We also want to acknowledge the production team at Magellano. The agency is headed by Roberto Castagnetti, with Giorgio Nesci as production director. We worked closely with their team over these months and the collaboration was outstanding. The Magellano production crew did an incredible job and made the whole process a joy.

Behind the show is a team that designed the machine: Jordan Babev on creative direction of set and lighting, Matteo Masini for 3D and lighting design and photorealistic renders, Marzio Del Sole on 3D modelling, Olek Mar’yanov and Francesco Rizzotto on CAD, Eleonora Peronetti on scenic design, Cecilia Magnozzi as scenic assistant and owner of all creative presentations, Ivan Russo as project manager and coordinator, and Elisa Fiumanò on logistics and project coordination.

What reaches the audience is a choice of truth over excess. The stage is bare on purpose, the image is angled and close, and the light is tuned to the breath of the band.
