K-WAYMILANO FW24
In the heart of Milan, amidst the glitz and glamour of one of the world’s most prestigious fashion events, we looked after the runway show for the iconic fashion brand, Kway.
The vision was to create an environment where the new collection wasn’t just displayed but was brought to life. We were tasked with designing a lighting system that complemented an art installation featuring high-tech robots. These robots, more than mere machines, were the dynamic mannequins of the evening, presenting Kway’s latest designs in a stunningly animate showcase.
The unique aspect of the design was the emphasis on even lighting distribution. This approach ensured that every centimetre of the runway and the art installation was bathed in a uniform glow, highlighting the textures and colours of Kway’s collection. The challenge lay in balancing the intensity and angle of lights to avoid shadows and glare, which could detract from the visual experience.
We worked closely with technologists to integrate the lighting system with the robotic art installation. The result was a seamless fusion of light and movement, with the robots and their attire appearing as if they were part of a living, breathing entity.
