ETROMFW | FEBRUARY 2025
Etro’s Fall/Winter 2025/26 collection, titled “Magma,” made a bold debut at The Mall in Milan’s bustling city center. Produced by Random Productions, our team oversaw both the lighting design and director of photography, ensuring that Marco De Vincenzo’s artistic vision was showcased in a dynamic, immersive setting. Drawing on Egyptian mythology, particularly the tale of Ra’s tears turning into bees, De Vincenzo blended ancient legends with modern influences, creating a dialogue between past and present that reverberated throughout the runway.
Central to the show was a striking 60 meter beaded curtain by the Roman art collective Numero Cromatico. This immersive installation echoed cave paintings and mythic narratives. Etro’s signature artistry came through in knitted furs that replaced traditional pelts, such as a maxi fur coat constructed with wool flakes, and in whimsical silk dresses covered in floral prints. Other standout pieces included jacquard sweaters with fantastical creatures, jeans adorned with motifs of flora and fauna, and enlarged Paisley patterns on airy long dresses. Collaborations such as zoological embroideries by Korean artist Maria Jeon introduced playful pop elements into De Vincenzo’s studied elegance, while contemporary silhouettes like tailored jackets with miniskirts and denim overcoats offered a forward-looking edge.
